Manchester Literature Festival is working with the Writing Squad to support emerging young writers from the North West region to develop their craft. The Writing Squad offers thirty writers the chance to work with each other and with professional tutors for two years. This is followed up with ongoing support to help writers make their way in the literature industry. It also offers a sounding board and support network for a growing community of young writers and producers in the North.

The programme is open to all young writers aged 16 – 21 with a passion for any genre of creative writing, including fiction, poetry, lyrics, scripts and performance. You can find details of how to apply to join the next Squad here.
