The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every year during the summer holidays to help children keep up their reading skills and confidence. The theme in 2017 challenge was Animal Agents. We traveled to local libraries across Manchester to join in the fun, making your own detective ID badge and fun disguise before helping to crack the case! The activity lasts for an hour and is most suitable for children aged 4 – 11yrs. Look out for more information and ways to join in with this year’s Summer Reading Challenge at https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/

If you have any questions about any of the above you can get in touch with our Children & Young People's Programme Coordinator: miriam@manchesterliteraturefestival.co.uk
