PROGRAMME SCHEDULE

Yasmeen Ismail
I’m a Girl! and Specs for Rex, 10am
Award-winning illustrator and animator Yasmeen Ismail will be reading from and talking about her new picture book I’m a Girl! along with her popular books Specs for Rex and Time for Bed Fred. Her new charming and funny story I’m a Girl reminds us that it doesn’t matter whether you’re a boy or a girl, it is being yourself that’s important. Suitable for 3+

Kristina Stephenson
Sir Charlie Stinky Socks – The Pirate’s Curse, 11.30am
Kristina leads us on a brilliant interactive storytelling adventure around her seventh book in the best-selling Sir Charlie Stinky Socks series, The Pirate’s Curse. Charlie and his cat Envelope set sail to rescue a stranger who sent a message in a bottle, but surely it won’t be plain sailing for our smelly-socked hero? Storytelling at its best, with songs, music and sound effects. Suitable for 4+

Artful Playground
The Toothy Adventures of Davy Denture, 1pm
Artful Playground return with their latest interactive story The Toothy Adventures of Davy Denture, about a boy whose future as a dentist is planned out for him, but he wants to be… something else. Artful Playground’s stories are brought to life as the children are invited in to take part and become the characters, sing songs and play games with the story leader. Suitable for 3+

Jonny Duddle
The Jolley-Rogers and the Cave of Doom, 2.30pm
The Jolley-Rogers are back! Jonny Duddle’s famous pirates are in trouble. They’ve been lured into a cave by a sinister sea witch and can’t get back out. It’s up to Matilda and Bones to come to the rescue. But how easy can setting a family of pirates free from a coven of sea witches be? Join us for what promises to be a fantastically funny hour of adventure. Suitable for 5+

Lydia Monks
What the Ladybird Heard Next, 3.45pm
Lydia Monks joins us to talk about the follow up to the best-selling picture book What the Ladybird Heard, created with Julia Donaldson. Destined to be another classic, What the Ladybird Heard Next returns to the same farmyard to discover that those crafty robbers Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len are out of prison and ready to cause more trouble! Thankfully, our favourite ladybird is on the case and she and her farmyard friends have a plan. Suitable for 3+
