Cultureword’s 9th National Black Writers Conference
Featuring Over Here Zine Fest
The 9th National Black and Asian Writers Conference brings together poets, playwrights, novelists, short fiction writers and digital artists to debate and share their experiences of digital literature, afro-futurism, mental health, crime fiction, developing audiences, self-publishing, writer journeys, the black cultural economy, and much more. Alongside the conference, Over Here Zine Fest showcases the inventiveness, humour and creativity of black writers, activists and artists from across the UK. Participating writers and creatives include Rajeev Balasubramanyam, Yvonne Battle-Felton, Maya Chowdhry, Hirohisa Fukada, Nazmia Jamal, Jennifer Makumbi, Anjum Malik, Masimba Musodza, Humaira Saeed and Keisha Thompson.
