Join us for an evening of poetry and music celebrating the history and rich culture of the Caribbean communities that settled in the UK post Windrush. Poet and musician Roger Robinson reads from his latest collection A Portable Paradise, exploring the changing faces of his two homes: London and Trinidad. Poet, literary activist and author of Another Crossing, Khadijah Ibrahiim performs poetry inspired by her Jamaican heritage. There will also be music from Eloise Bridge and new work from the Manchester-based collective Young Identity. Hosted by Malika Booker and Shirley May, and presented in partnership with St John’s Church and Speaking Volumes.
