2019 Booker Prize Shortlist

Meet some of the authors shortlisted for the 2019 Booker Prize for Fiction at this special MLF event. The Booker Prize is a byword for the finest literary fiction, with its canon containing some of the greatest writers since 1969, from Hilary Mantel and Kazuo Ishiguro, to Marlon James and Anna Burns. A few days before the 2019 winner is unveiled on Monday 14 October, shortlisted authors Bernardine Evaristo (Girl, Woman, Other), Lucy Ellmann (Ducks, Newburyport) and Chigozie Obioma (An Orchestra of Minorities) join us for an evening of readings and conversations around their brilliant new novels.

Hosted by Ellah Wakatama Allfrey and presented in partnership with the Centre for New Writing and Creative Manchester.
